Mentoring

“Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen,
and a push in the right direction.”
John C. Crosby.

Mentoring can be a formal or informal engagement between two individuals. It's an effective way to develop yourself and your career or business, and to give back to others.

The primary focus of a business mentorship is development towards career goals and objectives. Ideally, a 3-6 month engagement is agreed at the start, with meetings face to face, skype or phone based, every 2-3 weeks. We will help guide you with a workbook to ensure you both achieve maximum value from your time.

If you would like to engage a mentor, please fill in the form below and we will be in touch.

If you would like to be a mentor, send an email to melissa@silverdelta.co.nz and we can discuss further.

Remember, mentoring isn't alwasy easy, but it is worth it. Here's something to consider before making this committment:

The Mentee's Commandments
1. It’s your job, not your mentor’s job.
2. Think commitment, not lip service.
3. Show up for the relationship.
4. Give back and get more.
5. Keep expectations realistic.
6. It’s risky, but it’s healthy.
7. Be yourself; we already have everybody else.
8. Don’t be afraid of your mentor’s silence.
9. Pay it forward.
